Ninajirachi, an electronic DJ and producer, has talked about how she makes music and how much she enjoys using the “human voice” in it.
The 25-year-old performer talks in the most recent MusicTech computerized cover, where she takes us through her new full-length discharge, young lady EDM – plate 1, and the imaginative ways of thinking that support her work.
Nina explains her method by stating that she focuses primarily on treating her vocals gently: Although it may sound simple, I enjoy using delay in novel ways. She explains, “Having the delay type of pitch bend and then resampling that can frequently yield really interesting results.” Additionally, I enjoy fully reverberating vocals and resample them.
She goes on to say, “I find that having some element of vocal in every song makes it feel more familiar.” Even if the human voice is just a texture or a vocal chop, everyone enjoys hearing it.
Nina captures snippets of everyday life to incorporate into her music as a songwriter, drawing constant inspiration from the world around her.
“I’m voice reminder ing constantly,” she says. ” I like to be amazed by stuff that I hear simply approaching my day. It’s a lot of fun.
The artist likewise appreciates inspecting her own tracks and reviving recognizable sounds. Ninacamina, a song that Izzy Camina and a British-American producer collaborated on, includes a sample of Tiankeng, an ambient track from her 2022 album Second Nature. A portion of a YouTube documentary about China’s Xiaozhai Tiankeng sinkhole is sampled in this track.
She asserts, “Sampling is so much fun because samples are so rich in frequency.” In a way, you compress a song into a single audio file. I also avoid copyright issues by doing so from my own discography.
Additionally in the visit, Ninajirachi discusses her frustrating experience with simulated intelligence music generators in the studio, saying “we really improved.”
